Arpan Kar is Associate Professor in the Information Systems area at DMS, IIT Delhi, India. In his research, he has built collaborations with a number of international academics as well as industry associations in Australia which have funded the research projects, including Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JAS-ANZ) and Institute for Safety, Compensation, and Recovery Research (ISCRR). He was listed as one of the top 25 SCM scholars in Asia by one research paper published in International Journal of Production Economics (July 2018). His research publications have received over 10,000 citations (Google Scholars). His research papers have been published in leading journals, including International Journal of Operations and Production Management, International Journal of Production Research, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Supply Chain Management, IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Omega, European Journal of Operational Research, Technovation, RandD Management, Journal of Small Business Management. His areas of research interest are mainly focused on quality, operations, supply chain, and innovation management, and he has over 100 publications, including journal articles, conference papers, edited research books, book chapters, and industry reports. He completed his PhD degree in Business Management from Monash University in 2003. He earned Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, Indonesia, and Master’s degree in Quality Management from RMIT University, Australia, where he won Best Graduate Award.
